Can you give a brief description of your research, work and expertise in Southeast Asia?
My research focuses on interdisciplinary research fields of tribology and surface engineering, the main objective being the development of new materials and lubricants for reducing friction and wear in dry, boundary and mixed lubrication regimes. I am part of the Green Tribo-Vehicle Consortium (GTVC), which involves three universities from Malaysia: Universiti Teknikal Malaysia (UTEM), Universiti Malaya (UM) and Universiti Teknologi Malaysia (UTM). This project, led by UTEM and funded by the Malaysian Government, aims to enhance engine performance, increase fuel efficiency and reduce transport-related CO2 emissions by developing novel lubrication solutions using palm fibre-based graphene. The collaboration involves research co-supervision, joint publications and researchers' mobility.
