I have supervised several PhD students whose research has used case studies from Southeast Asia to explore supply chain issues in response to the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals. These case studies have included social and environmental sustainability in the Malaysian palm oil and Indonesian rubber and textiles industries, and resilience in the Indonesian fertilizer industry. I am currently supervising PhD students whose projects are exploring water use in the Indonesian batik industry, sustainability in the Indonesian rice industry, and innovation capability assessment in Thai start-ups and SMEs.
